Windows 10: update to windows 10 from version 1909 to 20H2?

How can I manually request the update to windows 10 from version 1909 to 20H2? I have tried a number of times to do the update from 1909 to 2004 and 20h2. Have done many changes as recommended but as yet have not finished successfully. 7/20 to 2004 error 0xc1900101, ‎9/‎4/‎2020 - 0xc1900101, ‎9/‎12/‎2020-0xc1900101, ‎10/‎30/‎2020 - 0x80242016 and to version 20H2 on ‎12/‎26/‎2020 - 0xc1900101. When I click check for update in Windows Update it says "you are up to date" If you notice on my last update I am up to 0xc1900101 error again.

Windows 10 version 20H2

The computer in question had Windows 7 on it and there was not an option to uninstall the 20H2 update. So I have reverted back to Windows 7. Is there a way to download and install Windows 10 version 2004? The games will work on that version but not the
20H2 version.

It is perfectly fine to update from version 1909 to version 20h2, no need to install version 2004, I just updated two of my laptops from 1909 and absolutely no problems on either, the update went smoothly on both

Hi, just got a new ssd installed, and my local vendor installed the 1809 version in my system. I updated the software to 1909 but there is no update for ver 2004 under Update and Security in settings. I couldn't find any update assistant of 2004, but the
one for 20H2 is available. Is it fine if I directly upgrade to ver 20H2? Will there be any issue or should I upgrade to 2004?
