Windows 10: Updated Driver for Acer X203H Monitor with 1600 x 900 resolution?

I have an Acer X203H monitor and it needs 1600 x 900 resolution or my windows looked stretched and blurry on the screeen? Any fix?

1600 x 900 is not one of the choices when I go to the control panel to try to alter the display.

My monitor supports 1600 x 900.

Apparently, a Windows Update screwed up my AMD driver. I followed Sumit's suggestions and got the resolution back to 1600 x 900.

Windows 10 doesn't recognize display driver

My desktop machine has an Acer S200HL LCD display with native resolution of 1600 × 900. The existing driver worked fine with Windows 7, 8, and 8,.1. When I installed 10, this driver was replaced by the generic non-PnP driver, where 1600 × 900 is not an
option. Windows won't let me install a driver from the folder on my disk, insisting that the generic driver is the best fit. Acer doesn't seem to have any drivers for this monitor, which they still sell, on their site. Right now I'm slumming at 1024 × ​768.
Any suggestions?

 

The "Microsoft basic display adapter" indicates that Win 10 didn't install drivers for your graphics card.

The Dimension E521 apparently was available with different graphics cards, from nVidia or ATI (now AMD). All are old, but I believe that there are drivers to support them. You'd have to know what card is in the machine.

I don't recall, but it may be possible to find out from Dell using your service tag.

 

I have a disc from when this pc was purchased and it says, "Dell E177FP LCD Monitor", does that help?

 

Here is more info: the display adapter is a Radeon X1300/X1550 Series as per the hardware description the machine was sent with. When I look at the display adapter being used by Windows 10, it says, "MicroSoft Basic Display Adapter". Can I fix this?
