Windows 10: Updated from Version 10.0.18363.1016 to 2004, but it currently shows 1904

Hi, so maybe this is a confusing title, but here is my issue:


I noticed my PC hadn't had a big update in a while, and decided to check and found that feature version 2004 was available. I went ahead and downloaded it/installed it, then it prompted me to reboot, which I did.


Upon rebooting, and running a "ver" command in a cmd prompt, I am greeted with Microsoft Windows [Version 10.0.19041.450].


However, when checking for windows updates again, it tells me I am up to date, and the last installed update was Windows 10, version 2004.





Not sure what the proper way is to fix this without hosing things up with my OS, so any help is greatly appreciated.

Updates for Windows 10, version 2004 now stops Cortana

I have now tried several times to apply the update from my 18363 build to 2004 but every time I find that Cortana no longer works giving msg that it not available in teh UK

I try to do the update every month to see if there has been aby fix or change. The OS goes thru the update with no issues. I am forced to roll back ot a previous version of the system in order to have cortana work with mic

Do I accept that cortana is flawed and update to build 2004 or stay with current build?

A]so there any workaround as some of the suggestion dont work for me?

Click Update which will download the Windows 10 Upgrade Assistant

Step 3:

Run the Windows 10 Upgrade Assistant & then click Update now.

Step 4: It will start downloading the update and also shows the percentage of download.

Windows Show Hide not hiding 2004 feature update

Show/Hide has always worked for me. Yesterday I had about 10 updates show. I want to install all BUT the 2004 Feature Update, so hid that in Show/Hide. It shows as hidden there, but when I check Windows Update again the next day, it is still listed. Normally, it would not be and all other updates would be. Now all are there and I do not yet care to install the feature update.

Any ideas / suggestions?
