Windows 10: Updated from version 1603 to 1903, lost my license.

I just built a computer for Christmas, and my Windows 10 came on a USB stick. I finally got it all set up, went to settings, and it told me there was an update. It told me to update to 1903, so I did. After a while, it was done and I saw that little watermark in the corner of the screen. Went to settings, and I got error code 0xC004C003–my key isn't valid. I click Troubleshoot, and all it says is "We weren't able to activate Windows on this device" and shows me where I can spend another $100. I know it works because, when I first had Windows installed before I updated to 1903, it was activated just fine.


So far, I've tried:

- The built-in troubleshooter

- Resetting Windows

- Downgrading Windows which I can't do anymore now

- Using the Media Creation tool


I had hope when I saw this article: https://www.groovypost.com/news/windows-10-redstone-build-14257-available-now-insiders/. But that doesn't work anymore. I typed in "test" like it said to, but the bot just told me to rephrase my question.


Really not sure what to do here. Hopefully I get what I paid $100 for.

Error 1603

Error 1603 generally occurs due to installation errors or corruption of the setup during installation or uninstallation (in most of the cases) although there are many other reasons too. And for this reasons only there is the popping of the "ERROR 1603" dialogue

1. Close Background Software
2. Check the Software Is not Already Installed
3. Check That There’s Enough Hard Drive Space for the Program
4. Open the Program Install and Uninstall Troubleshooter
5. Erase Temporary Files From the Windows Temp Folder
6. Restart the Windows Installer Service
7. Edit the NtfsDisable8dot3NameCreation Registry Value
8. Grant Full Control Permission to Installation Drive

Update version 1903

When updating to version 1903, my computer gets stuck at 27% completed after 5 hours of updating. Can anyone tell me what is happening? Also, version 1809 showed on my list of failed installs and then it disappeared from the list. Was there a 1809?
