    Updated my laptop, user has changed to ASP.NET Machine Account


    Recently i've been using an old worn down laptop to take notes at uni and i had been skiping updates for a while, until one day it notified me that i won't get security updates soon. So when i got home i set it up and left it to update overnight. When i checked it in the morning i instantly noticed having to log in via microsoft account, the default wallpaper and quite a few folders and shortcuts missing on desktop. Now i also noticed that my named user had been replaced by "ASP.NET Machine Account". Turns out my old user is still there under program files x86 with seemingly all my data. The

    ASP-NET Machine account

    My administrator account is now ASP-NET Machine Account and it requires a password every time I try to install/uninstall a program or try to change user settings on my computer. I do not know the password for this account as I did not create it when installing
    Windows 10. Can anyone help me?

    ASP NET machine account

    The last time Windows 10 updated itself ASP NET machine account took over my admin. and now I can,t update ,uninstall or install new apps.

    How do I get rid of it?
