The Solution Updated in 2022If you've already tried the usual suggestions to no find no avail, such as those suggesting updating the driver, uninstalling the driver and re-installing the driver, restarting your computer, running device troubleshooting and system diagnostics, downloading this or that, or etc. and have even tried the Ease of Access settings of using your numeric keypad to move your mouse and found that it moved the mouse pointer in the right direction but still don't know what to do next from lack of instructions following said test and from lack of other suggestions.... …THEN t

Invert/reverse mouse pointer direction

I just bought a new palm rest and bottom case for my lenovo g50 laptop but I found out that the chip under the trackpad was flipped. So when I want to move the pointer to any direction, it goes the opposite side. I've tried to remove the trackpad chip on the old palm rest but I dunno how to do it. I dunno if it has adhesive between the chip and the pad. I dont want to accidentally break the chip on the new one if I try to flip it.

Is there a software to invert the orientation of the trackpad? I've searched but result shows "reverse scrolling" not orientation.
