Windows 10: Updated to version 1903 (OS Build 18362.175) and I can no longer print

I have recently updated my office computer to windows version 1903 OS Build 18362.175, and after doing so I lost the ability to simply print. Now when I go to print, I am forced to save the file and after doing so the only file option to save it as is a .prn. I can no longer open the file after being forced to save. This happens in Microsoft Word along with Adobe Acrobat. I am wondering how to disable this feature so that I can just print without having to save the file before printing, then going to the file and opening it to print, even though it wont open.

1903 should be 18362

there should not be a watermark on the desktop.

to check the version installed go to settings -> system -> about

look at windows specifications

1903 is going to be build 18362.x and there will likely be an update to bring it up to the latest build.

Hi, I searched the forum for your error message for you.

Specifically for 1903 build one user (Insider) reports this:
Version 1903, builds 18362 RC through 18362.113, WU and MS Store issue

Resetting Windows update does not help.

That's assuming no server issues, no firewall problems, no DNS issues etc. And note you say sometimes- so that might suggest something outside your system, rather than a repair being necessary.
