    Updated to Win10 LTSC Eval from 8.1, "License Expired"


    With most things finally dropping 8,1 support, I've been forced to update to Win10. On updating, however, it said my "Windows license expired" and does the funny auto-shutdown.A legitimate product key from my physical 8.1 disc should still be able to update to Windows 10 however, given how it's been this whole time. Anyone got a good solution here? It would be appreciated...

    Windows 10 Enterprise Eval Shows License Expired Immediately Upon Install

    Since last Friday, August 11, 2023, any install of Windows 10 Enterprise Eval immediately shows License Expired. slmgr -rearm says it was successful but after reboot is still in License Expired state and shuts down after an hour.

    There is an event in the application log that says:

    Event ID: 1004

    Description: The Software Protection service has successfully installed the license.

    License Title=Windows(R) EnterpriseEval Product PPD License License Id=610fbd9f-b152-3921-549f-bb6bb8151759

    Then a subsequent entry:

    When in win10:
    • Update&security -> Windows update -> Finding update... .... .... ....
    Planning to download the latest Win10.ISO (vers.1803) and manually update:
    - Then wait that my ordered new SSD arrives and clone the old HDD to it.
