    Updated to Windows 10 from 8.1, Automatic Repair loop


    A client of mine recently installed Windows 10 update and his PC wont boot now. Its an HP so after POST it immediately goes to HP diagnosing the problem and loops back to Automatic Repair.

    Are there any options other than starting over with a clean install? System Restore has no restore points created. Im thinking about trying a PC Refresh next but thought I'd ask if there was something easy and this might be a known issue.

    Windows 10 revert

    Revert back to Windows 8.1 from Windows 10. Under 'Recover' i chose option 'revert back to window 8.1' My computer now appears to be in an automatic repair loop.

    Automatic Repair on Windows 10 Install

    Hello,

    I am trying to upgrade to Windows 10 from Windows 8.1.

    This is on my iMac 21.5 inch (2011) with a 450GB drive partition for Windows OS.

    When using Windows Update to download Windows 10, it begins to download but then goes into the Automatic Repair loop, with the message:

    Automatic Repair: Windows could not load correctly.

    It then makes me restart Windows 8.1, back to square one!

    Please help, I am running Windows 8.1 on my iMac solely for the purpose of upgrading to Windows 10!
