Windows 10: Updated Windows 10 to 22H2, now time zone automatically syncs to Central Time even though...

I wrote about this issue a couple months ago, but I can't find it now, so I'll repost it again since the latest Cumulative update on May 15 is doing it again.For some reason Windows keeps wanting to change my clock to Central Time, even though I live in California, which is in the Pacific Time zone,This was a problem a couple months ago, but after an update in April there were three updates in April so I don't know which one fixed the issue, but after the latest update this morning, it's back again.I mean how stupid is this? I searched in the community and one "Microsoft Expert" asked the OP

Update causes Time Zone to change automatically

After recent Windows 10 cumulative update, my time zone setting keeps changing to Central Time. I've set it to Eastern Time several times and turned off the automatic sync to NIST. Any fix for this bug?

Adjust Time Zone Automatically keeps changing time zone to Pacific Time from Eastern

I am running Windows 11 Pro, Version 22H2. After a recent Windows Update (withiin the last week) this problem started happening: I am located in (UTC-05:00) Eastern Time (US & Canada), however, with Adjust Time Zone Automatically turned on, my computer keeps reverting to (UTC-08:00 Pacific Time (US & Canada). Perhaps it really wants to be in Seattle?

Based on what I've seen on this site, I've tried the following:

• turning Adjust Time Zone Automatically on and then off;
  
• setting the correct time zone by using the terminal window;
  
• ensuring that Windows Time service was running (it was set on manual, but it is now set on Automatic)
  

Despite this, after a minute or so, the time zone reverts as I've stated. The only way that I can have the time zone stay put is to turn Adjust Time Zone Automatically off.

Is there any other more satisfactory answer to this problem?

time zone problems

I recently moved from the East coast to Houston (from the Eastern Time Zone to the Central Time Zone). I am unable to get my desktop running Windows 11 to consistently switch and remain on the central time zone. I am able to temporarily set the time zone to central either by setting this manually or by turning off then turning back on the "Set time zone automatically" setting. However, no matter whether I set the time zone manually or automatically, within a matter of hours, the computer reverts back to the Eastern Time Zone. Any advice as to how to fix this?
