Windows 10: updated windows 10 yesterday, mouse not working now, no pointer even.

Not showing mouse and other pointing devices in device manager as well. Tried usual things, purchased a new wired mouse, different usb ports nothing working. Is it a common issue with this update as of 22march 2020? scanning for virus at moment.


Any help or suggestions appreciated!

Mouse pointer gone, but click works!

I don't know if it is the Geforce driver (tested on other pc: no, it is not guilty) but since yesterday updating Geforce drivers to the latest version, this morning my Razer mouse is fubar.

I see no pointer. But it is shown in Device Manager, works also in BIOS (pointer shows up), and also left and right buttons seem to work, wherever the (invisible) pointer is...

Is this driver related, or a half-dead mouse? The mouse also behaves bad connected to a Win 10 Surface without Razer or geforce drivers, so it looks to be the mouse.

Maybe the cause lies in that last week I said herre this mouse was durable...?!?!?!

 

Razer Taipan mouse pointer moving erratically after Windows 10 update

I'm using the Razer Taipan mouse. The mouse pointer has been moving erratically since the last Windows 10 update a few days.

Yesterday I called Razer support. They had me uninstall the software and also delete the mouse from the list of hardware in the control panel. Then I restarted my computer and reinstalled the software. That worked for all of yesterday. This morning the mouse
pointer is moving erratically again.

I've followed the procedure from yesterday of uninstalling the software, removing the mouse from the list of hardware in the control panel, restarting the computer and reinstalling the software. This time it has not solved the problem.

Any suggestions?
