  1. Updates Are Disabling all Services

I am running Windows 10 Pro. 64 bit

After i installed the updates, the PC was slow to boot, and about 2 to 3 minutes for the taskbar. Nothing was running as they should. I opened Task Manager>Details and all Services were either Disabled or Not Allowed.

I posted the problem on a well known, reputable tech site and was given suggestions on how to remedy the problem.

I have a Win 10 Pro 64 bit disk which i ordered from Microsoft, Version 1703 had it awhile.

The suggested fix began with updating the Intel Chipset Device. I opened Device Manager, expanded System Devices, but nowhere is there Intel Chipset Device.

There is nothing about any Intel devices anywhere on that page. I checked View>Devices By Type.

How do i install the Intel Chipset Device, and is this the device i need.

Any suggestions on how to fix the original update problem that is causing the Services to be disabled are wecome.

I have been hassling with this for several weeks and am way behind on things that i must get completed.

    :)

    Vista Automatic Updating Error

    Resolution Suggestion:

    # To resolve this problem, make sure that BITS and the Automatic Updates service are started..

A simple solution but one that works in most circumstances!

    1. Click Start, click Run, type services.msc, and then click OK.

    2. In the list of services, right-click Automatic Updates, and then click Properties.

    3. In the Startup type list, click Automatic, and then click Apply.

    4. If Service status is set to Stopped, click Start, and then click OK.

    5. Right-click Background Intelligent Transfer Service, and then click Properties.

    6. In the Startup type list, click Manual, and then click Apply.

    7. If Service status is set to Stopped, click Start, and then click OK.

    Updates Are Disabling all Services

    Advise on disabling services

Why do you wish to disable system services?

The problem is that there are many services on your list that may cause problems if disabled. Nobody can know for certain which ones they are. It would take a long time to go through the list to make even an educated guess about each service. And that guess may be wrong. Microsoft does not publish a full description of what each service does. A service may be safe to disable today but may cause problems after the next Windows update, or after the next application you install, or after the next update to an application. There will likely be no obvious relationship with the problem to the disabled service, or even that the problem had anything to do with a service at all. Most applications that rely on a service will simply fail if it is not running with no hint of the cause.
