  1. Updates are heavy-handed.

Most recent update has erased all personalized settings. I’m fuming—but not about that. 1. Can’t get rid of the login to outlook.com screen. 2. There’s no ability to return MY Photos to my monitor background, only choose from MS store. Where are my personal choices? I don’t like having MS options rammed down my throat.

    :)

  2. 3Colors Win User

Windows Updated(16299.309).KB4088776 Restart is required to complete.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

Thanks for the suggestions and for the time to respond Updates are heavy-handed. :) Best regards.

And thanks for the tip of that program, I'll have it on my list.

  3. Hard crashes with ANY heavy load

Out of the blue, my computer has been crashing upon heavy loads. For example, playing a game. I can load into the menu fine, but when it finishes loading the game, either the game will crash or my computer will black screen and restart. Specs and what I have tried already are as follows:

    • CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600G
    • RAM: 32GB Corsair DDR4-3200MHz
    • MOBO: ASUS X470 Prime Pro
    • GPU: ZOTAC GTX-1070
    • PSU: Corsair CX450
    What I have tried:

    • Updated drivers for CPU, GPU and MOBO BIOS updated
    • reinstall GPU drivers via NVIDIA software utilities
    • unplugged and reconnected all PSU connections, reseated GPU
I'm out of ideas. Any suggestions you have to fix my issues are greatly appreciated.
