Windows 10: Updates as of 11-12-2020 are failing and locking up my system

Three times now my computer has seized control from me to install updates only to have them lock into some endless loop. Because I have to pause updates, there is no way for me to record what those updates are.


One of the symptoms of the problem is that when I yank the power on the system to reboot several times, the blue booting option screen comes up to give me several opportunities. All of the options require you to enter your Microsoft password, the same one that allows access to this forum. But it doesn't take the password, it rejects it as being incorrect.


What to do I have to do to get my system back?

all have failed. I have attempted using many of the suggested fixes to no avail. The most recent attempt were the fixes shown on this page. Always fails at steps 6 to 7; goes to restart.

I have not shown all updates in this list.

I tried a suggestion by Norton of disabling 'Auto-Protect' and 'Smart Firewall' while retrying the update, but that made no difference.

So please Microsoft what is the solution?

I suppose I could leave it alone to continue failing until the next big update, but would that solve the problem?

I run DSim and Src. When I run Src, it structed. Update failure message come again.

What to do?
