2016 Surfacebook not taking the Windows 10 version 1709 update.

I have done exactly that but it doesn't work. After reinstalling Windows using the recovery image for Surface Book from provided a link I got version 1703
and build 15063.966.

Every attempt to install version 1709 update (automatically or manually) crashes/turns off Surface book with a black screen or BOD with error code. Mind this is clean system after reinstalling the
system from recovery image.

After a black screen It would not start after pressing the power button. I have to hold it for about 20 sec and then wait 5 sec and then pressing button starts Surface Book and resumes update 1709.

After BOD it restarts by itself.

This would repeat infinitely many times crashing Surface book every 20-40 minutes unless I stop and disable "Windows update". After that and restart I was able to pause the update.

It is often recommended as a solution to pause the updates but it is not possible to do since the update starts immediately with system startup
which doesn't allow pause the update after update in progress does not finish. Which in my case is never.

I would not mind staying with 1703 but Surface Book still crashes randomly every 2-4 hours with or without an external monitor. It seems to crash more often if an external monitor
is connected via Surface Dock. It crashes either with BOD and various error codes or freezes with a scrambled screen.

Windows 10 2018-03 update stuck at 0% and task host prevents windows from shutting down

Windows would not shutdown due to a task host window. Checked updates and the 2018-3 cumulative update for windows 10 is stuck at 0%. Tried running the windows update troubleshooter and it is stuck on Detecting problems - initializing the diagnostic.

Update 2018-02 installed successfully on 2/14/18.
