Windows 10: Updates frozen

In the update screen (settings-update & security) it shows the following updates are available, and further down the page it shows Downloading Updates 0%. this has been the same figure for about 8 hours and no advance. Not doing any other work on the laptop, so all resources are available.

These are the updates numbers: (mainly for Windows 10 Version 1511 for x64-based Systems)

(KB3182373),(KB3185614),(KB3115462),(KB2597974),(KB3161102), (KB3181403),(KB3150513),(KB3118300)

What can be done to either enforce the updates or get rid of them!

There are some ideas there which should also be relevant to you.. Hope you find one that works.

 

There are no ideas on that link, just people whining about how large it is. Is the link correct. What worked fro you?

Can it be downloaded direct?

Ok, thanks for that. What do I rename the catroot folders to?

 

Anything you like... you can just delete the contents.. just renaming them is a bit more cautious.. unnecessary really. Then come back & delete them.

You may find it takes a couple of attempts.. at least it did on the very large update.
