    Deleted windows.old files after Windows 10 upgrade (from 7). Dreaded 0x8050800d error in Windows Defender.

    1. May I assume Creators Updates was offered & installed via Windows Update on 28

    One had to do with fixing the mail app, the other was to correct an issue w/Wi-Fi connectivity. Info on both is available at MS's support site.

    Look under uninstall updates. If it's listed then it is installed. I get a requires a restart message if i look under update history.

  10. What is the error Windows Update (WU) error message?

    You could try running
    Control Panel > Troubleshooting > System and security> Fix problems with Windows Update.
