Updates shut off computer and stop remote access unless you can manually restart

I have three computers using windows 10. Since the Pandemic I work for weeks at a time away from home. Last week Microsoft did a major update that shut down each machine and stopped me from using them because it went off line. Microsoft should not send an update unless the user approves. It stops users who work remotely from having access to the computer until they can manually access it to restart. I use Splashtop and Remote PC and of course they need online access.

With the same type of issue I was on an important Zoom Meeting last week and it started the update which took 3 hours.

    :)

    Random shut down and restart??

Computer: Intel (R) Pentium (R) Dual cpu
    E220@2.406hz
2.42 GHZ, 2.00 GB of RAM
    Windows xp

Ever since I replaced the fan (with heat sink) the computer has randomly shut down and then restarted, at first during streaming, and now, will shut down and restart anytime. I tried to replace the graphics card to no avail. *Confused Updates shut off computer and stop remote access unless you can manually restart *Mad Updates shut off computer and stop remote access unless you can manually restart

One suggestion was to replace the RAM.

Any suggestions on how to repair my computer?

    Remote Access

    1. Follow these steps to disallow remote access to your PC completely:
    2. 1. Type “remote settings” into the Cortana search box. Select “Allow remote access to your computer”. This may seem counter-intuitive, but this opens the Control panel
      dialog for Remote System Properties.
    3. 2. Check “Don't Allow Remote Connections” to this Computer. You've now disabled remote access to your computer.

Try these two steps and tell us if your issue gets solved. If it does not then your PC may be infected. Use a Good antivirus to remove the infection from your device completely.

Keep getting blue screen on restart & shut down

DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL is likely to be caused by a driver and is usually caused by drivers that have used improper addresses. Stop error codes may be fixed by updating Windows. As a first troubleshooting step, we suggest that you check if there are
updates waiting to be installed on your device. If there are, kindly install these updates and restart your computer. After restarting your computer, see if it still shows the stop error code when restarting or shutting down your computer. Here's how to check
    for updates in Windows 10:

    • Press the Start button, then type Windows Update, and select it from the search results.
    • On the Windows Update page, click Check for updates.

If the issue is not resolved, do not hesitate to post back to us.
