Windows 10: Updates Windows 10 from 1909 to 2004 via wsus

Update Windows 1909 18363.1556 ends with update failed to install with error code 0x80d02002. On the client there are files in the folder ...SoftwareDistribution\Download\...: WindowsUpdateBox.exe 21 Mbyte and 19041.264.200511-0456.vb_release_svc_refresh_CLIENTCONSUMER_RET_x64FRE_ru-ru.esd 0 Mbyte. On the wsus WindowsUpdateBox.exe 21 Mbyte and 19041.264.200511-0456.vb_release_svc_refresh_CLIENTCONSUMER_RET_x64FRE_ru-ru.esd 3,19 Gbyte. I can't understand why the client can't download update from wsus. The client even has direct access to the Internet

Windows 10 x64 bulid update 2004 for WSUS error

Dear Sir/Madam,



I would like to ask for your help regarding WSUS bulid update error. We have a business environment with 350 clients running various desktops like Windows 10 Pro X64 OS, with update management provided by WSUS. We want to upgrade our machines to the 2004
build, however for more than 250 machines, this runs into errors.

The error message is "0x800705b4". By manually running the upgrade on a desktop, it will be updated to 2004 without any problems.

In the case of 50-60 machines, it was also installed from WSUS, although machines with the same type and the same program environment.



May I ask your advise that there may be some history update that is absolutely necessary before the 2004 bulid update,

or perhaps for older bulilds, this can only be done in step by steps.



Should the OS of the server running WSUS be newer than 2012?



We welcome any suggestions that may be a central solution to the problem.

Since Windows 10 2004, updates from WSUS are not installed automatically, GPO is ignored

Since our clients are on Windows 10 2004, updates from WSUS are not installed automatically anymore. There is no notification, no nothing. The updates are listed in the WU dialog and are waiting for it to be manually installed.

We have configured a GPO to automatically download and install and inform the user about a needed reboot, give it 5 days.

This worked a treat up until Windows 10 1903.

I am trying to make sure I did not approve 1909 to 2004 on my WSUS server the only way I know to do that is by KB.
