The latest HP driver is from 2010 which is quite old. Have you had any driver updates from Windows Update to drivers that worked for touchpad? You can check all previously installed drivers in Device Manager under Mouse, click on the touchpad device, then Driver
tab, then Update, then Browse PC, then Let Me Pick. Try all drivers in the list working backwards.

I would give WIndows Update a chance to provide a driver. Check for Updates at Settings>Update & Security>Windows Update and expedite all updatess through restarts until no more are offered when you go back to check again. Also run the Update driver button
on Touchpad in Device Manager choosing Automatic.

You can also trace the touchpad device by it's hardware ID to know the exact made and model to search Google and on Synaptics website. On the Touchpad device's Details tab, choose Hardware ID in dropdown, right click the short string ID to copy and paste back

contact pictures not showing in mail app

For larfs I did a clean install, not upgrade or side grade of windows 10 on my Surface pro 4.

Contact pictures do not show.

Has MS actually done any testing on this, am I expecting to much? I can see from MS blog this image:

Which clearly shows pictures for contacts, thats what I am missing even though my people app is full of contact pictures? Is there a bug from iCloud imports for instance, has anyone their checked. Does any one care?

Lots of niggles you would expect to just work in even the most basic mail app:

Why can't I see flagged messages?

Why can't a search 'from' people, why do I have to go out of the app perform that

Why is there not favorites or some way to see all my mail from certain people?
