    Hi, I have tried several times to update my parents' fairly new PC. I even tried: Manually configure the attributes of the "system 32 \ catroot" folder and the files it contains Stop Windows Update Service wuauserv, Cryptographic Services CryptServ, and Background Intelligent Transfer Service BITS Rename the "system 32 \ catroot" folder to "system32 \ catroot.old" Rename the Windows Update Temporary Files folder "Windows \ SoftwareDistribution" to "Windows \ SoftwareDistribution.old" Rename the "All Users \ Application Data \ Microsoft \ Network \ Downloader" folder to "All Users

    Feature Update to Windows 10, version 1709 stuck at 96%

    As the title of the topic suggests, the update is just stuck at 96%. This is the second time I'm trying to download this update. The first time it was stuck at 95% and now this.

    Is there any other way to download this update. And also, how should I cancel the update cause as I'm writing this it is stuck. Or should I just wait it out for it to fail by itself?

    EDIT: It got solved on its own. Will reopen a new thread if any new error occurs.

    Defender Update KB2267602 stuck @ 96%

    Hello All,

    I am seeing all of my new computer setups failing to complete this update.

    Security Intelligence Update for Windows Defender Antivirus - KB 2267602 (Version 1.309.445.0)

    The Status immediately jumps to 96% and then is stuck.

    I have attempted to work around it with no luck. Also the Cumulative update of 2020-01 for version 1909 is running. Not sure if they go hand in hand. I have attempted running the troubleshooter with no success.

    Any suggestions.

    Clean Windows 10 Install - Windows Updates stuck at 96%

    I install a clean version of windows 10 then after that I tried updating windows after clean instal but the leading is stuck at 96% for a few hours so i restart it and after resateting it, its says 0% now.

    How to fix this isue

    I restarted and now its stuck at 100%..

    its stuck at 31% now
