Windows 10: Updating from 1803 to any version other than 2004

I recently revived my old set up from about mid 2018 and the last version that it had was version 1803. I’ve tried to update to 2004 and I always get an error that indicates “This PC can’t be upgraded to windows 10.” This is fine though, because I don’t need to be on 2004. The problem that I’m having is that I can’t figure out a way to update to a version that isn’t 2004. In my update history, there shows an attempt to update to 1903 about a month ago (around the time I awoke the comp from hibernation) but it failed to install with this error code: 0xc1900101

Unable to update Windows 10 Pro version 1709 to 1803

Have made several attempts to update Windows 10 version 1709 to the latest version 1803 and have not been successful.

I've done the following per some suggestions found online:

• Updated drivers
• Ran the Trouble Shooter for Windows 10 (Errors found were shown to be "Fixed" per the tool)
• Unplugged the printer

Although not at every attempt, I have received the following errors:

• 0xc1900101
• 0x80070643

Can someone please advise me as to what the errors are and provide me with the steps to update Windows.

Fail to update from windows 10 1803 to any other updated version

I have already tried that and that made no difference. Ifi try windows update now. No additional updates yet still running on 1803 and not 1909 like my other laptop

That is a flat out lie, and you know it. MS themselves recommend to NOT force it. This one example from MS. Their words, not mine.

"
To safeguard your update experience, we have applied a compatibility hold on Windows 10 devices with affected drivers or firmware from being offered Windows 10, version 2004.


Affected platforms:

• Client: Windows 10, version 2004

Next steps: Microsoft and Intel are working on a resolution and will provide an update in an upcoming release.
