    I agree with @sygnus21 on 4GB being the minimum. I would always go with 8GB. If you game or want to run VM's, start at 16.

    Your Core i3 is probably ok for you, since it was running fast enough when you first got the computer. It was the slowdown over time that got annoying. It's almost certainly your hard drive. Going with an SSD will make it better, for sure. Formatting and reinstalling will make it better for a while. Then, it will just get slow again.

    In all the winsat tests I assume F/s stands for frames/second. I notice everyone always gets the same result for this.
