Windows 10: Updating since 08/19/16

I have not used my Win 10 Laptopn since August 19, 2016 and coincidentally have a Paragon Backup of the computer on that date. Today, I fired it up and of course wound up with a update. After the update cycle Winver shows version 15111 O
S build 10586.494. Does that sound right? And, does that include the "Aniversary Edition?"

From what I read around the web, the Anniversary Edition is maybe not the most desirable. I don't mind at all restoring the computer to the 8/19 date and this time deferring updates.

I would like to hear some thoughts on this.

Windows 10 Update Cannot be installed

Hi everyone, I'm trying to install windows 10 update anniversary to my windows 10 and after I download the package and restart for the upgrade i receive a message indicating that a component cannot be installed and need to restart the upgrade i did it twice

Unable to Upgrade to Windows 10 from Windows 7 Ultimate

After reading many support questions from other people with difficulties upgrading to Windows 10, I am still finding trouble upgrading and experiencing multiple errors. Please, read this carefully MS Support. I have asked questions before and you guys have
given me solutions that I've already tried and don't work. So, I've looked up many solutions to fixing this problem. Over 5 days wasted of attempting to Upgrade to Windows 10, I've tried using the Media Creation Tool and the Windows Update Method for the free
Upgrade and they both don't seem to work. I've tried the CMD update method, the one that goes like wuauclt.exe /updatenow
and that you're also told to delete the contents of the following folder C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download\ etc. I've tried the MSConfig method were I start Windows with only MS Services. I've also tried the Windows Update Troubleshooting method,
that did absolutely nothing. I've tried the regedit method of editing the Registry for the
AllowOSUpgrade that key already existed and I didn't have to do anything. Now to how these errors appear, when upgrading via the Windows Update method. Within a few minutes of downloading if gives me the error
80070003 AFAIK. When using the Media Creation method, It goes to around 91% of "Installing Windows 10" then gives me a little grey box that says "Something happened" "Windows 10 Installation has failed". I've tried many solutions online and they don't
seem to work. I've tried booting into Safe Mode and that doesn't work.

Also, the hard drive I'm using was cloned with 3rd Party software from another hard drive that didn't have enough space. I hope this isn't the case and if you're wondering I used EaseUs Todo Backup. I searched the C:\Windows.~BT/WS directory and launch a
few different "setup.exes" like "setupprep.exe" those did the same process as the Media Creation Tool and those didn't work. I may have missed a solution for this problem, I may have already tried it. I will provide some error info from the directory and hopefully
this problem can be solved. Hopefully MS patches these problems.

The current OS Version is 1607 (Win Anniversary update). I haven't any problems after the update some people are having issues but most of them should of been resolved on September's patch Tuesday.

You haven't got the Anniversary Update yet. It is being offered through windows update in phases. It may well be that it's just not your turn yet. When it is, it will appear when you check for updates as 'Features update for Windows 10, version 1607'. More details on the AU (including how to get it manually if you can't wait) can be found here:

There's no rush though, your 1511 will still be getting all the latest security updates, In fact, MS are still issuing updates for the original 10240 version too. See the Windows 10 update history here...
