Windows 10: updating Win 11Pro21H2 to latest version: need for full reinstall of all apps?

The automatic update showed that my version of WIN11 is end of support. When I click to download the newer version on the Tray Icon, nothing happens. The windows Update in setting shows a missing update. The question: how to proceed to avoid to have to create a fresh disk with the latest version installed. Can I just download from the MS website, install and keep all the installed programs?I definetly want to avoid running on a OS without support. Many thanks for advise on how to proceed. .... It looks like the application that you are using is not compatible with the latest update. To help us identify the troubleshooting steps to solve the issue, we'd like to ask for additional information. Please answer the following:

• What update have you recently installed? To check the Update history, follow these steps:

• On the Search bar, type Settings.
  
• Open the Settings app from the search result.
• Click Update & security and check the Windows Update section.
• Click the Update history link.

• Are you also getting an error message when starting the app? If yes, please provide a screenshot.
• Have you tried reinstalling the app?

For initial troubleshooting, you can run the compatibility troubleshooter. This troubleshooter can help
address issues with programs or applications that do not work properly with the latest versions of Windows 10.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.
