Windows 10: Updating Windows 10 1607 to current

Hello, I am currently on Windows 10 1607 and trying to upgrade to something more current. The windows installation media crashes when I try and the windows upgrade assistant gives me an error for the operating system that says: "Cannot upgrade this pc to the latest version of Windows 10. Operating System: Contact your system administrator to upgrade Windows server or enterprise editions." I tried a fresh install of windows and that didn't work either.

Win 10 1607 update

Installed the update manually at the the moment everything is bueno.
It seems that Microsoft has a big problem in there update department windows 7 update has problems win 8 update has problems. Windows 10 update is so-so.

 

Windows 10 1607 to 1703 Creators update fails with 0xC1900101 - 0x30018

Normally, we suggest reverting back to the previous Windows update which is 1607. To do that, follow the steps below.

• Open Settings window.
• Click Update and Security, Recovery.
• Select Get Started, under Go back.

This is only a workaround that should work on your end.

Unable to update Window 10 Pro version 1607 to version 1709

Have made several attempts to update Windows 10 version 1607 to the latest version 1709 and have not been successful.

I've done the following per some suggestions found online:

• Updated drivers
• Ran the Trouble Shooter for Windows 10 (Errors found were shown to be "Fixed" per the tool)
• Unplugged the printer
• Ran the DISM.exe

Although not at every attempt, I have received the following errors:

• 0xc1900101 - 0x30018
• 0x900704c7

Can someone please advise me as to what the errors are and provide me with the steps to update Windows.
