    Hey Everyone, I've recently came across a problem affecting systems trying to update from 1803/1809 to 1909 or higher. No matter what route I take this machine just won't update. I've tried Native update, Update assistant, and windows installation media. I would reimage them but it just isn't an option. I'm looking to see if anyone else has any ideas on how to move past the preinstall.cmd ran into problems error/0xC19001e2Here is what I've tried SFC /scannowStarting and Stopping windows update servicesuninstalling software that does encryption dell software etcdisable bitlockerinstall latest

    Feature update to Windows 10, version 1903 - Error 0xc19001e2

    Hi guys, i want to update Windows but somehow i manage to get 2 errors everythim, this one in the title, 0xc19001e2 and 0x80070020.

    So this is what i tried:

    • Windows Update
    • Troubleshoot Windows Update e retry (like 4 times with multiple restars everytime there was a new installation)
    • Download MediaCreation Tool but failed
    • Download the ISO for Windows 10 with MediaCreation Tool but gave me same error
    Sometimes it happens that there is "preinstall.cmd script error"

    Looks like a script failed to run which is necessary during Windows update process:

    0XC19001e2 MOSETUP_E_PREINSTALL_SCRIPT_FAILED A preinstall script failed to execute or returned an error.

    That is a pretty generic error which doesn't give much information. We would have to proceed via generic steps. Do a clean boot, uninstall or disable your Anti-virus, disconnect unnecessary devices and try again:

    What is Error 0xc19001e2. I believe it points to a driver, but how do I find which one? No problems reported in device manager.
