Windows 10: Upgrade 1903 error 0xc1900101

I am Unable to upgrade from version 1803 to 1903. I started out with WINDOWS 7, PRO and upgraded to 1803 a while back. I lost count of how many times I've tried the upgrade to 1903.


My system has more than enough memory, the updater verifies I have all that is necessary to Run Windows 10. Each time I try I go through the following steps:


1. Run Windows Update trouble shooter - fixes issues usually Upgrade data base.

2. Run DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
3. Run SFC /SCANNOW

I've removed all other software besides windows related software


I've removed all connections, Printer, wireless keyboard, mouse.


Only Wired Mouse and Keyboard connected, ethernet cable. and Monitor.

I've tried Installation from Update Screen.


Got error 0xC1900101-0x30018 "This installation failed in the FIRST_BOOT phase with an error during SYSPREP_SPECIALIZE operations."

I've tried again using Upgrade assistant and Media Creation Tool after running the Update trouble shooter again, errors fixed, DISM and SFC scans.

I keep getting that same error. This is very lengthy process each time, so I'm getting rather frustrated when the last screen hits 60% and give me that error message. That's when it happens at 60%.


I've searched the internet for a solution, but nothing seems to work. What more can it do. I wish there was a robot or program that would just install it.

1. What is the complete error message you receive when you try to update?
   
2. What is the make and model of the PC?
   

Error 0xC1900101 is a generic rollback code, and usually indicates that an incompatible driver is present. The incompatible driver can cause blue screens, system hangs, and unexpected reboots.

I would suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below and see if the installation goes through.

Note:
Before performing Check Disk and Clean Installation take a backup of user data, as there are chances of potential data loss.
