    Hi there,

    I'm having issues with my sister's Acer laptop where I'm trying to upgrade from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 using the Media Creator Tool, and I would be very grateful if somebody here can help me with this.

    So she gave me this laptop that was being slow, and what i did first was erasing it's HDD and restore it using it's factory restore image USB. After this, the computer was back to a clean factory state with Windows 8.1 and was working fine after I fully updated the Windows and removed it's bloatware.

    Since installing Windows 10 is a must nowadays, I used Media Creator Tool to upgrade the laptop to Windows 10. I choose save nothing in the options and let it run. But now, for the second time did another clean factory install after first fail it gets stuck on the blue installing screen at 54% and the circle dots also stops moving. It's been hours and still nothing.

    I would prefer to install Windows 10 this way because it is much easier than installing a fresh copy of Windows 10 and find the drivers and controllers one by one on the Acer support site.

    Any help is much appreciated, thank you.

    Clean install w10 from w8

    Step One: Back up all data. Just disconnect your E: drive for now,
    Step Two: Upgrade Windows 8 to Windows 10, that way you will get the free upgrade.
    Step Three: Do a clean install of Windows 10. It will only install onto your C: drive.
    Step 4: Reconnect your E: drive.

    working on updates 54% stuck

    it has been 1 hours or more its stuck at 54%. im update my windows before it 1709. and get notif that i must update to 1803. before i have failed update 3-4 times. so now i try using windows update assisstant. but now stuck at 54% after it say need to
    restart. it has been stuck at 54% 1 hours more. and i dont see rotating circle anymore. what must i do ? it say dont turn off your pc this will take a while. it has been 2 hours from 0% to now 54%. and stuck at 54%. i use laptop lenovo intel i5 4200M ram 6gB.
    i cant do my work.
