Windows 10: Upgrade insider preview to full while keeping apps and data?

Hello fellow Windows 10 enthusiasts, I have an insider preview of Win10 Education from my school through Microsoft Imagine account (Azure dev site now). I have a full license and was wondering if it's possible to upgrade my current insider preview install to full Windows 10 Education using the ISO I have without losing all my apps and data. Thanks again.

Supported phones for Windows 10 Mobile Insider Preview

When my phone fails to upgrade I just keep trying. One upgrade took 3 or 4 tries.

I suggest you to refer the steps suggested by Andre Da Costa on May 16, 2015. Check if it helps.

If i upgrade to Windows 10 insider preview, will I be able to upgrade to Windows 10 official release?

Your Phone on Insider Preview

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

1. Which version of Insider build you have installed?
   
2. Are you missing Phone screen (in preview) and
   Notifications (in preview) options from the app?
   

If yes, I would suggest you to follow the methods mentioned below to fix the issue.



Method 1

Fix problems with apps from Microsoft Store

Refer the article Fix problems with apps from Microsoft Store
for the steps.

Note: Ignore the option of performing Reset, since you’ve already tried.



Method 2

If the issue still persists, I suggest you to Uninstall Your Phone through commands on Windows 10. To do so.

1. Open Powershell as an administrator.
   
2. Copy-paste the following command:
   
   Get-AppxPackage *Microsoft.YourPhone* -AllUsers | Remove-AppxPackage
   
3. Hit the Enter key, so that the app will be removed.
   
4. Restart the device once.
   
5. Login to Microsoft Store to re-install
   Your Phone app and check the status of the issue.
