Windows 10: Upgrade Notifications

I get an upgrade notification by the hour. My computer won't let me schedule a specific time to upgrade my computer. I've already upgraded the computer at least 15 times. If I ignore the notification, the computer "upgrades" and restarts itself making me loose all my work. Then like nothing just happened, asks me to upgrade by the hour again. This is absolutely annoying!! How do I get rid of this thing?

(P.S. Some of the features I looked up to turn the notifications off are not even an option on my computer)

Yeah, thats not a solution she is interested in......I've suggested that course of action. Thanks though.

Just to clarify, I feel that there MUST be a step, or series of steps to turn off JUST the wireless notification sound. Thats what Im driving @ here.

Yes me too! Only with my FB app which was already installed when I upgraded to W10. wont load and was removed from my Notification List, I miss getting my messages via notifications, I did all the steps suggested but still nothing

Stop Windows 10 Upgrade Notification:

To hide the Get Windows 10 app and stop notifications about the upgrade on your Windows 7 or 8.1 PC:

• Right-click (or press and hold) the Taskbar, then select
  Properties.
• On the Taskbar tab, select Customise… for the Notification area.
• In the Notification Area Icons window, for the GWX (Get Windows 10) icon, select
  Hide icon and notifications.
