Windows 10: Upgrade to WIn 10 Feature 1903 removes users recently accessed files

We have started the process of updating our ICT estate to Feature 1903 and one of the 'Pilot' group of users has complained that having updated, the recently accessed location list in the 'Previous Locations' dropdown in File Explorer has been cleared.


Whilst this is not a total 'showstopper', it is an inconvenience for users who rely on their recent files history.


So:

• Is this expected behaviour with a Feature pack update?
• Is this history accessible from anywhere else post update?
• Is it possible to back this up ahead of the update for reuse later?

you get the idea. ( too lazy to put it in a for loop and test it.

or just open regedit and remove all the fileX from that key.

 

I removed a file from the Quick Access recently. Subsequently, upon the next access the file is not appearing in the recent files listing

I removed a file from the Quick Access recently. Subsequently, upon the next access the file is not appearing in the recent files listing. How do I go about to get the quick access feature back for this file?

Hi, Problem. recent files not showing. I have checked options and boxes are ticked. system files may have

deleted accidentallywhen removing a flesh drive...... used system restore. No repair...

can any one in the community give a suggestion....

What to do next. for a repair. ( reinstall win 10 ,,Upgrade win 10 ..home . )

Most users want rid of recent files ... I like to use them for quick access. Recent folders show OK.

get corrected during the upgrade.... thnx from
