Windows 10: Upgrade to windows 10 1903 fails due to LSI 3ware 9650SE driver missing

I have tried all steps of

short of a new reinstall and and my upgrade fails. I also added the driver to the Windows10upgrade directory, which went further but still ended in a rollback to Window 10Pro 1803



This is probably due to problems with the LSI 3ware 9650SE card being used to access drives used for the windows installation. The current driver (last) is 3.0.4.70 signed by Microsoft Windows Hardware Compatibility Publisher.


The driver date is 07/07/2009 so there may no longer be any support.

Any suggestion would be welcomed. My machine is quite costly and still efficient, I don't want to throw it away or be outside windows support because of a driver issue.

My post may be a little too late....but I just read about your concern. I'm using the LSI 3ware 9650SE with Windows 10 x64 PRO with no issues. The driver I'm using is from 2/14/2013 (downloaded from LSI - Avago). My setup is RAID 5 with 4 4TB hard drives.

I'm wondering if anyone out there has a 3Ware/LSI 9650SE running on Windows 10? I contacted LSI (Avago) but they said it's end of life and no longer supported. Which didn't answer my question of whether or not it will work on Windows 10. It's a perfectly
good card, I'd hate to have to replace it just to upgrade OS. Don't really want to go through the hassle of doing the upgrade only to find it doesn't work in the end.

Any help would be appreciated.

i know this is a old thread. I ve the same problem with my 9650SE and Win10. I just upgraded last weekto Win10. To disable driver signature alone doesnot install the driver. May you pls provide us with the information what to change in the .inf file, so
that we are able to install this controller on Win10/2016.
