Windows 10: Upgrade to windows 10 20h2 destroyed my PSP TPM.

Hi,I have recently been having a problem where my AMD PSP 10.0 Device cannot be enabled.Normally, when I use my laptop, the AMD PSP 10.0 Device and Trusted Platform Module 2.0 show up in devmgmt.msc.But since I upgraded to Windows 10 20h2 64-bit, my PSP had stopped working and I could not use Device encryption or encrypt files.Secure boot still works, but in the UEFI BIOS, my TPM does not show up no matter what I try to do.I tried using AMD's Upgrader but it stayed the same.I tried reinstalling it but no luck.I cannot go back to 1909 because Windows says I cannot even though I backed up my W

Issue after upgrading TPM firmware

Hello,

This is the update that I am trying to accomplish: Update your security processor (TPM) firmware

However after completing the steps that are listed within this article I am still not able to complete the actual upgrade. I still have the pop up that states i need to upgrade.

I followed the following steps:

1. ensure all upgrades are up to date.

2. download the specific .EXE firmware update file and run it on my machine as an administrator

3. clear TPM and restart.

however simple these steps are I have not been able to complete the update.

I am on a HP Z240 SFF 1.2 TPM

What can I do to ensure that my TPM is updated to the latest firmware?

 

Windows 10 devices now requires hardware encryption/TPM

So from now on devices (OEM built) needs a TPM module. Relevant bit:

Pretty interesting, but there's tons of questions I guess. I don't actually now anything about how TPM works, just that it's hardware, meaning the key is stored in a physical chip and that the decryption has to run through this chip. But I have no idea how let's say biometrics is tied to this. Or what the implications will be, or what exactly is encrypted. The entire storage or just the log in details as such?

 

Need help on whether to clear TPM on not

It's clear as mud. As far as I can tell, it's specific to Windows, not necessarily activated programs like MacAfee, games, etc etc etc. MS Office, I have no idea.
