    Upgrade to Windows 10 Home, version 1511, 10586 Failed 3 times


    I have a 4 week old HP notebook with Windows 10 already installed.
    The above Upgrade (Update??) has failed 3 times & I suspect it is the
    root of other problems (Can't create more user accounts, can't sign in
    to Cortana.)
    According to the web others are experiencing the same problems.
    Would appreciate some advice.

    apps wont start when i click on them.

    The Upgrade to Windows 10 Home, version 1511, 10586 failed to update several times on the 4th of January. The last time (yesterday), it updated. Now everything seems to be working fine. Thanks.

    Hi donnyboy and welcome to Tenforums.
    You could try downloading the ISO and performing a repair install using an in-place upgrade.
    Repair Install Windows 10 with an In-place Upgrade - Windows 10 Forums

    Basically, you right-click and mount the ISO, then run setup.exe from it.
