    Upgrade to Windows 10 version 1909 fails due to lack of disk space


    I am trying to update a Lenovo IdeaPad to Windows 10 1909. I have an SSD hard drive with 27 GB, but only 4 gb available space. How do I free up additional 5 gb in order to run the update? I am using onedrive for my documents, so minimal space being used on the device for user files.

    Do I really need this?

    What does Feature update affect?

    I am running Win 10 as a VirtualBox guest, fixed size, and moving that to a different disk location and expanding the size would be a major pita.

    Do I really need to do it?

    Laptop will not update due to lack of disk space

    Hp laptop 32GB drive, cannot down load updates cannot restore due to lack of memory.

    Removed all programs and apps except those preloaded.

    Tried to remove windows 7 but is not listed in disk clean up.

    Everything I try I get message that I need additional 8gb memory and to delete programs and apps. There is nothing to remove to get additional space.

    I currently have 24.2 gb used out of 29.1gb available.

    How do I get out off this mess and update to a newer vesion of windows 10

    NOT ENOUGH DISK SPACE FOR UPGRADE

    I HAVE A NEXTBOOK COMPUTER WITH WINDOWS 10 AND IT WON'T UPGRADE DUE TO LACK OF DISK SPACE. I HAVE 5MB, NEED 8GB. REMOVING EVERYTHING BUT THE REQUIRED OS, IT STILL ISN'T ENOUGH. CAN I USE A SMART DRIVE WITH 15 GB TO UPGRADE AND HOW?
