Warning, this is a bit long and rather technical. I made several attempts at Windows 11 upgrade & installation.I have been running Windows 10 Pro for many years on a custom built desktop PC.I downloaded the latest Win11 version from Microsoft and flashed it to a USB drive.1 first upgrade attempt.a I ran the installer. It told me the computer did not support Windows 11. Did you try the list of quick fixes which include removal of third party AV.

 

In-place upgrade from ISO failed in SAFE_OS Phase 0xc1900101-0x20017

I'm using a mounted ISO (created using MediaCreationTool21H2) to try to do an in-place upgrade (to try to fix a slow Windows Store issue). It's failing, and SetupDiag says: Code:

Here are some things I've done:

• windows updates
• driver updates
• sfcscan
• dism
• unplugged all hardware except keyboard/mouse
• create a new local admin account from which to try

Looking at setupact.log, I can't see anything that stands out. Any suggestions?
