My hardware is just fine in spec}, I have 96GB of drive space,. I have spent 4 days on this, Tried the "Upgrade assisyant" - [Cryptic Installation failed message}, tried via newly d/l'd ISO [fails with error 0x8007007f], I have tried from a USB drive created in Media Creator [fails with cryptic message "Installation has failed" in a Windows system dialog box].I have run SFC /SCANNOW and whatever the other recommended utility i

    Switching from Win 10 to Win 11

    I suggest you do a drive image backup of your current win 10 drive. I had some issues with Win 11 and I roll back using the Win10 image. As you don't have a Win 11 supported CPU, you have to tweak the Win 11 installation files.     Switching from Win 10 to Win 11

    Thanks for the suggestions. I'll be getting new MB and CPU when I move to Win11. And I always do system volume image backups after I successfully update Windows so no problem there *Smile. Cheers!

    I bought a new laptop from Dell company last month came with preinstalled windows 11 home , I just want to upgrade to win 11 pro . I tried to upgrade through Microsoft store it shows win 10/11 costs $139. It is quiet expensive .windows 10 home to win 10pro was $99.
