Windows 10: Upgrade to windows Pro Edition

Hi There,We are small startup of 7 member now. Until now, we are not managing our pc from Azure AD.We are using Windows 10 and 11 laptops, but they are using Home Editions.We are using our own personal Microsoft account to login into the laptops.We want to change it and use the Work 365 account to login. To do so I think we must update our laptops to pro edition.My Concern is:For example, if someone resigns from the company and we need to allocate same laptop to another staff, we have to reset the pc before allocating.Are we going to lose the pro edition once we remove account of resigned staf

You can follow the steps provided below to be able to downgrade to Windows 7:

• Open Settings.
• Select Update & security.
• Click Recovery tab.
• Look for the option to "Go back to Windows 7/8", and click on "Get Started" to begin the process.

Can't upgrade from Windows 10 Home to Pro

Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community. We apologize for the inconvenience caused and will assist you in the best possible ways.

I suggest you to download and create an installation media for Windows 10 Pro form the link provided below:

https://www.microsoft.com/en-in/software-download/windows10

After the installation media is created, suggest you to upgrade to Windows 10 Pro from the installation media. When the upgrade asks for product key, enter the product key purchased for Windows 10 Pro. If it does not accept, suggest you to skip the activation
step. After the Operating System is installed, suggest you to activate by phone by following the steps below:

• Press “Windows key + R” and type “slui 4” and press Enter.
• Select the Region from the list and click Next.
• Call the Toll-Free number provided on top and can activate via phone.

Windows 11 Pro Upgrade from Windows 10 Pro Edition

No but after it installed the malfunctioning Windows 11 upgrade it was listed as Windows 11 Pro. Microsoft Windows support advised I reinstall Windows 10 Pro and said that Windows 11 is really only meant for new PC's that come with it preinstalled. MSI website doesn't list my 2020 GT76 Titan dt-039 notebook on their Windows 11 upgrade eligibility list so I guess that's why the Windows 11 Pro upgrade failed. I suggest being careful with trying the Windows 11 upgrade despite it stating my notebook was capable of running Windows 11 it was wrong. Luckily I have the original Windows 10 Pro USB Flash drive because the Windows 11 Pro upgrade was so incomplete I had no way of reverting notebook back to Windows 10 without reinstalling from a USB Flash.
