Windows 10: Upgrade windows 10 to windows 11 for parallels desktop on mac with M2

I have bought a Windows 10 Home digital license from Microsoft Store and used in a MacBookAir 2015 with parallels desktop. Now I have a MacBookPro M2 and want to use windows with parallels desktop. When I tried to activate Windows 11 in a new virtual machine I discovered that the product key on my old Windows 10 machine didn't work. Message: You do not have a specific license key for this copy of Windows 11 PRO. Parallels is using Windows 11 Pro. Mine is Win 10 Home. I need help to sort out. Windows 11 Pro is permanently asking to activate or to buy. Thx in adv.

How to activate Windows 11 on Parallels on a new M@ Mac

I am currently running Windows 11 on an Intel Mac using Parallels. I have a digital licence since I installed Windows 10 using activation keys from Windows 8.1.

I now wish to migrate my Parallels licence to my new M2 Mac Mini, and transfer my virtual Windows 11 machine to the Mac Mini as well, however, the M2 Mac won't work with the Interl-based Windows 11. The steps to convert the Intel to the Arm based M2 Mac appear too complicated, so I'm considering reinstalling Windows 11 via Parallels on the M2 Mac Mini, but the instructions for this state that I must activate the new install of Windows 11 using the activation method currently in use. How do I activate a fresh install of Windows 11 using my current digital Licence?

 

How to upgrade to Win 11 on M2 Mac?

I have Windows 10 on a 2013 Mac with VMWare Fusion. I want to upgrade to an M2-chipped Mac to run Windows 11 with Parallels. Will Windows activation be an issue? My current license is from an Upgrade Version of Windows 7. It seems every time I've had to upgrade/replace a hard drive, I run into activation problems. Will I have problems activating Windows 11 with my Windows 10 activation key? Every time in the past I've had to actually speak to a MS tech and get the key from them after I provide my Windows 7 key. I have looked up the current key in REGEDIT (BackupProductKeyDefault). Will that activate Windows 11 on the new machine? Any advice? Thank you.
