Windows 10: Upgraded to 1Gb service now ethernet adapter keeps disconnecting and throttling back service

I recently upgraded to 1Gb internet service. Since the upgrade I have noticed that when I'm getting ~800-900Mbps service, my hardwired NIC adapters will disconnect, and then re-connect very often throughout the day. When the NIC reconnects my service gets throttled back to 100Mbps. I have tried 2 different NIC adapters, both have been disconnecting, then re-connecting the same way throttling my speeds.


If I manually disable the NIC, and then re-enable it will usually restore the 1Gbps service for maybe an hour before it disconnects and throttles back service again.


I have tried re-installing the most recent drivers for both NIC, and also installed in compatibility mode. Still seeing the issue.

Ethernet Service

Recently, I messed up my laptop and my services are all over the place. I settled everything other than my
Ethernet and I cannot access the internet. (Using my phone to make this post)

So when you type Services in the search bar and select it, a whole list of services pop up and I want to know which service or group of services is responsible for my Ethernet so that I can enable it.

Bluetooth Services

I've been using the audio gateway on my phone for a while, but when I actually looked through the list of services it does provide, I found it to be quite large. For some reason, my computer doesn't support many of these, such as remote control etc.

I'm pretty sure it has more or less to do with my bluetooth adapter, because it gives me only a small list of the total services it can accept. Anybody have any idea how I can add more?

 

Constantly disconnecting with ethernet cable

Thank you for keeping us posted on the status of the issue.

I suggest you to check if rolling back the Ethernet driver helps to resolve the issue. Follow the below steps.

• First of all, Press Windows logo + R from keyboard. It will open
  RUN.
• Now type devmgmt.msc and press Enter to open Device Manager.
• You will see all the device list of your PC. Expand Network Adapters

Rollback driver

Double click on your Ethernet driver in Device Manager. Then Click on
Driver tab and select Rollback.

Important: If your drive is performing well and there is no error, Rollback driver button will be grayed out as an option.

If it still does not help, I suggest you to reinstall the drivers for the Ethernet driver and check if it helps to resolve the issue.

Note: Once you uninstall the drivers the Ethernet adapter device will be disabled and you won’t be able to connect to internet. So it is advisable to keep all the installer files as a back up in your hard drive.
