Windows 10: Upgraded to Win 10 & SD Card Reader not Working

Hi All, My card reader is working as far as device manager is concerned​

BUT it is not making ding dong or Ping Pong sound when i insert it. i have tried new drivers, un-install & Re install etc and im at my wits end​

Please can anyone help?​

• Have you tried to use another SD card reader and see if it is getting recognized or detected by your computer?

sd card reader

I have a dell inspiron 7537. After upgrading to windows 10 my sd reader does not work properly. It see the content but after a few minutes the content goes away and I have to reinsert sd card to see again. tried updating driver, uninstalling device and reinstalling.
tested sd card on another win 10 computer and ok. Even the mother board was replaced by dell. Not sure what steps I should take next. Any help would be appreciated.

SD Card Readers not working

I have had this same problem and at first your suggestion worked (one time). After that, I never get the so called "action center notice". Even after a restart, with inserting the SD card into the built-in reader, once the OS is up and running for a couple
minutes.

I too have tried to upgrade the drivers, using my Dell computer's "Command | Update" function. But, to no success.

Question, within the Device Manager, how can I even find the SD card reader? I do not see it listed, but I do see a large number of USB devices. They show up as either "Generic USB Hub", "USB Composit Device" or "USB Root Hub", even several
"Intel 7 Series/C216 Chipset Family USB Enhanced Host Controller". Which one would be my SD Card reader?
