Windows 10: Upgraded to Windows 11 and now the key ain't working

Discus and support Upgraded to Windows 11 and now the key ain't working in Windows 10 Software and Apps to solve the problem; I just upgraded my motherboard and cpu and switched to windows 11.     Upgraded to Windows 11 and now the key ain't working


    I just upgraded my motherboard and cpu and switched to windows 11. Now I can't activate Windows. The original key I used for Windows 10 ain't working. I also linked my win 10 license with my Microsoft account but that doesn't seem to do help either. Is there anything I can do? I don't want to buy a new license.***** moved from german to english Community *****

    Windows 11 Home to Pro upgrade

    Want to upgrade 11 Home to 11 Pro. Tried download, but apparently files transferred were for 11 Enterprise. This will not activate; error is "invalid digital license or product key". This is on a new Surface. How to proceed?

    Can withdraw/delete this. The suggestion to downgrade - listed below - with a 'fake' windows 10 key works.

    Anyone can upgrade to Windows 8 Pro for $14.99.

    Microsoft cracked down on the upgrade requirements you now need a windows 7 key OEM or Retail but the code its self needs to be one they listed in there upgrades system, So old keys wont work.

    I have a few questions about windows 11...

    1. How many GB it is? when my pc suggested the upgrade yesterday, it said it's about 4GB just want to be sure.
    2. I'm using a windows 10 pro so if I upgrade, will it upgrade to a windows 11 pro?
