Upgraded to Windows 11, PC has been freezing at random times ever since with no obvious cause.

Approximately 2 months ago, I finally caved and upgraded my PC to windows 11. A week or so after that, my PC started freezing but never producing a BSOD. It freezes much like how a scratched DVD would freeze. Just basically a hard lock up with frozen buzzing audio and no control. The only thing that would stop it from being in this state is a hard reset with the power button. I've spent the last 2 months trying to find some way to diagnose the issue, unfortunately due to the way it crashes, Event Viewer only ever shows Error 6008 and 4163. I have run SFC -ScanNow, DISM, Memtest, I've done a

Windows 10 upgrade - random freezes and PC becomes unresponsive

Not sure if this will help you but it sure helped me!

I was experiencing the exact same issues, LOOOONG boot times (up to 35 minutes!) and random freezing with a hard reboot the only option. My PC specs are way above what is needed so it definitely wasn't that.
Every reboot my PC wanted to scan & repair my "H" drive which is where I store my games & backups. It is not listed as a boot drive in the BIOS so the only thing I could put it down to was the backups that were causing an issue. I deleted all traces of the backups and rebooted and lo and behold, my PC was performing as it should've. Boot times were back to 15 seconds on my SSD and freezing is a thing of the past. (Haven't had a freeze in 3 days yet)

FYI, these are backups created by Windows Backup & Restore.

PC Keeps Freezing At Completely Random Times

    Hello,

Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

I can imagine the inconvenience you have experienced. I will definitely help you with this.

I suggest you to disable the third party security software (if any installed) temporarily and check if it is cause to issue.

    Disable Antivirus:

Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you shouldn't disable your antivirus software. If you have to temporarily disable it to install other software, you
should re-enable it as soon as you're done. If you're connected to the Internet or a network while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

Kindly follow the below steps and check if you are able to fix the issue.

    Step 1:

I suggest you to run the System maintenance
troubleshooter and check if it fixes the issue:

    Follow the steps given below:

    • Press Windows + X keys on the keyboard and select
      Control Panel

    • Type Troubleshooting in the search bar on the
      Control Panel.

    • Click on View all
      on the left navigation pane.

    • Click on System maintenance.

    • Click on Advanced on the
      System maintenance
dialog box and click on Run as administrator (Enter the credentials if required).

    • Click on Next and follow onscreen instruction complete the
      System maintenance troubleshooter.

If issue persist, Kindly follow the below given steps and check if it helps:

    Run these commands:

    • Press Windows key and type Powershell
in search, right click on it and Open as administrator .

    • Type the following command in Powershell and hit enter:

      Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers |Where-Object {$_.InstallLocation -like "*SystemApps*"} | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}
