Windows 10: Upgraded to Windows Pro - Did a reset of all info - Computer stuck in infinite boot loop.

Why hello,

Like the title describes I am currently enjoying the fresh hell of a Windows 10 boot loop.

I decided to upgrade my Windows Surface Pro 7 to Windows Pro. I then decided I wanted to use my domain logins only. This prompted me to do a reset to remove my personal files for what was going to be a now work only device.

All went well until it tried to prepare its self, as it now just tells me there is an “unexpected error”.

Are there next steps or have I hooped myself.

Windows 10 to Windows 10 Pro upgrade is stuck

Thanks Smittychat. I had no anti-virus installed for the upgrade. No scans or troubleshooting worked. I couldn't even accomplish SFC as that was stuck in the infinite reboot loop which I have never been able to fix despite all the comments and suggestions
on the web. So, with that info, I decided to re-install Windows 10 Home and then try the upgrade to pro again. Well, low and behold, Windows 10 Pro installs. So it seems that even though the Microsoft Store couldn't install Windows 10 Pro, it did indeed
set the Pro key into the BIOS. Success.

The question remains, why would the pro upgrade corrupt Windows 10 Home, given a brand new computer and clean Windows?

Any suggestions ? What should i do? My 1st boot priority is already set to cd/dvd but still detects sata device 2 as the dvd
