Windows 10: Upgraded Windows 10 on 3/16/21 - Printer will not print image correctly - I had to shut...

After upgrading to the latest Windows 10 version, both my Epson and Cannon will not print correctly. It recognizes the printer, but the print job comes out a blank page with a tiny image. Microsoft has no fix for this. Cannon says call Microsoft. So what am I to do? I had to close my printing business because of this. I'm loosing money each day.


I did a recovery and went back to the latest version, but that did not help. It is still doing the same thing.


The latest version I have is: 1909 OS build 18363.1440


How can I get Microsoft to contact me, where can I post a support ticket?

Windows 10 Home Won't Print to Remote Printer


I have three computers.
Machine 1: Windows 10 pro, has the USB Brother HL-5040 printer
Machine 2: Windows 10 pro, prints OK to the remote printer.
Machine 3: Windows 10 home, Used to print, but not anymore (THIS IS THE PROBLEM).
I’ve tried everything that I can think of, and would appreciate any suggestions.
I did these steps on Machine 3 that did not work.

1. Remove the printer device.
2. Add a Printer
3. The printer that I want isn’t listed
4. Select a shared printer by name
5. Browse
6. Select the displayed Machine 1.
7. Select the displayed Printer.
8. Next
9. Failure “Connect to Printer”.
10. Add a printer using a TCP/IP address or Hostname
11. Next
12. Set Hostname to Machine 2, and set port name.
13. Detecting TCP/IP Port
14. Additional Port information required.
15. Device Type – Standard, Brother Port Server
16. Next
17. Detecting the Driver Model
18. Install The Print Driver
19. Select Brother and Brother HL-5040
20. Next
21. Replace the Current Driver
22. Printer Name (setting it to HL-5040)
23. Next
24. Do not share this printer
25. Next
26. You’ve successfully added “HL-5040”
27. Finish

Printing on Machine 3 puts the document in the print queue, which reports error printing.
Printing from Machine 2 to the printer on Machine 1 works perfectly.
All three machines are in the same HomeGroup. Machine 3 can access the shared files from Machine 1.

 

Does windows 10 support 16-bits color image printing?

Regarding this, as what Mark L. Ferguson had stated in this
thread:

"If a 16-bit print driver is created for the printer, 7 will not stop it from doing that. How an image is converted to print is not an OS limitation. The print driver does that."

This would depend on the driver of your printer. You may also refer to our
MSDN site to learn more.

Printers quit working after Windows 10 upgrade

Upgraded to Windows 10 on July 29. That day, both my printers worked fine.

The next day, and every day since, neither printer will respond.

• I send a print job, I see the printer icon in the system tray, but hovering over the icon shows 0 print jobs waiting.
• I open properties for either printer, click "print test page", 0 jobs show waiting in the system tray, nothing prints.
  
• I open control panel, both printers show to be on line, and my laser printer is checked as the default printer.
  
• Shut down PC, restarted, tried all three steps above again.

Both printers are connected via wireless connection. My daughter can still print from her Windows 8.1 laptop, wireless connection, with no issues.

Printers are:

• HP LaserJet Pro 400 M401dn
• Epson WorkForce 840 (inkjet)
