Windows 10: Upgrading from Win 10 to Win 11 on a new PC with my current license and then switching to a...

So, I have a Microsoft account that has a Windows 10 Pro license associated with it. At least I assume so, since that's how I got W10 Pro back after reinstalling Windows on my current pc. I never actually bought Windows on it, but instead used a retail activation key, but somehow the account and license seem to have linked. Anyways, I'd like to build a new pc and have W11 on it. Can I just build the new one, log in with the Microsoft, and then upgrade to Windows 11 in the settings and everything will work? And if so, I have a second question. It'd be great if I could get an answer for both. Ca

Upgrade new PC Win 11 Home to Pro. Old PC has Win 10 Pro digital license

I have new PC with Win 11 Home. I also have old PC which has Win 10 Pro digital license. Based on some forum, I have already removed license key from old laptop. When I try to upgrade Win 11 home to Pro, it asks for license key which I don't have.

Any help/guidance is appreciated.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll be getting new MB and CPU when I move to Win11. And I always do system volume image backups after I successfully update Windows so no problem there *Smile.

Win 11 doesn't support my current PC. How do I migrate without having to buy a new Windows license?

Ran "PC Health Check" on my 10-year old PC. It says my current PC doesn't meet Win 11 system requirements. It doesn't have "Secure Boot" and TPM. Also, my CPU (Intel Core i5-2500K) isn't supported.

I'm currently running Win 10. Got here from Win 7 which I purchased 10 years ago then migrated to Win 8 and then Win 10. (Seems like Vista was in there somewhere but the exact migration sequence is lost in the mists of time.) I have the original Win 7 install DVDs and license key but my recollection is that the subsequent versions were all upgrades done via the Internet.

Anyway, I plan to buy a new motherboard, CPU, solid state drive (SSD) and memory to replace the existing m-board, CPU, and memory. I'd like to move my current copy of Win 10 to the SSD and then upgrade to Win 11 without having to buy a new Win 11 license. Is this possible?
