Windows 10: Upgrading LTSB 1607 to LTSC 1809 any issues?

I have a laptop currently running LTSB 1607 which I would like to upgrade to LTSC 1809. I wanted to ask if anyone here has done this before and is the process fairly straightforward and painless, or are there oddities, things breaking, settings reset, etc which often happens?

Couple of questions:

• 
  I'm assuming all my installed programmes and drivers will remain as is?
  
  
• 
  does the upgrade nuke all of your system settings, control panel settings, and registry tweaks?
  
  
• 
  all you need to do is decompress the 1809 iso, run setup.exe, and there should be an option which allows you to upgrade whilst keeping all your programmes and settings?
  

All my data is backed up, but I don't have the time to clean install Windows and set everything up again if things go wrong, hence am hoping to learn all about the process and what to do beforehand so that I can make it as smooth and painless as possible.

Would greatly appreciate any help or useful tips.

Activation issue upgrading from Windows 10 LTSB (1607) to Windows 10 LTSC (1809)

I have a unit which came with Windows 10 LTSB that I activated with a license key. For our application, we needed to upgrade to LTSC (1809). I was able to successfully upgrade the OS, but it now shows the system as not activated and my key from LTSB
does not appear to be valid for the LTSC. How do I get this unit activated?

Hi there Boban, heres a short explanation from Microsoft:

Windows 10 LTSC/LTSB: Due to naming changes, product versions that display Windows 10 LTSB will be replaced with Windows 10 LTSC in subsequent feature updates. The term LTSC is used here to refer to all long term servicing versions.

It looks like itll automatically upgrade for you over the course of updates.
