Windows 10: Upgrading motherboard/CPU limited to Windows 10 to one that is compatible with Windows 11 -...

I'll be swapping out my motherboard/CPU shortly. My current CPU is the i7 6700k which is not compatible with Windows 11. After building my new system will I need to reinstall/reactivate Windows 10 before upgrading to 11 or can I create Windows 11 boot media and install/activate Windows 11 fresh on the new hardware configuration? Please note I have associated my existing Windows 10 license with my Microsoft account.Thank you.

CPU upgrade to make pc windows 11 compatible

I currently have a HP Pavilion Desktop PC 570-p033. Product number Z5N87AA#ABA. My CPU is 7th Generation Intel Core I7-7700. My motherboard is HP82F200 with a 1151LGA CPU slot. Windows 10. PC health check says my machine as it is now cannot be updated to Windows 11. My question is can I replace the CPU with a 8th generation Intel Core I7-8700 which according to the CPU compatibility list is supported by windows 11.

My PC has a I7-7500U CPU installed which is on the compatible list of processors that can run windows 11, however when I run the PC Health Check to see if I can upgrade the software it's saying that the CPU is not compatible. Mine is clearly listed as being compatible.

All the other checks carried out by the PC health check come back as green ticks for compatibility.

Has anyone come across this and how do I resolve it. I have spoken to Microsoft and they gave me a load of flannel about the hardware manufacture. I checked on the HP website for compatibility and they say the chip set in my PC is easily able to run the new operating system.

It would seem that the software doesn't actually match what is on the Microsoft Site.

CPU upgrade for Windows 11

All;

I am currently trying to upgrade my programming from Windows 10 to Windows 11 however when I do the PC health check it tells me I need to upgrade the CPU, right now I have an Intel Core i5 2500 CPU installed on an LGA 1155 motherboard, I have searched and searched for the right processor to fit this motherboard and to no avail.

Can someone help me or point me in the right direction??? What generation CPU can I use on this motherboard, do I have to stay with the Intel Core or can I venture out with other brands of Intel?? Do I need to stay within the i5 Family or can I use i7, i9??? I know there is a compatibility list from the Windows 11 but I can't find any for the LGA 1155, it bounces around from LGA1151 or LGA 1200. Help please??
