Windows 10: Upgrading my 512 GB SSD to a 1tb SSD

Im on an HP omen 16, and I thought that I had a two slot NVME, turns out I had only one but my storage is going down and I just wanna upgrade my SSD, though i'm not sure how to go about it, last time I did it I had boot problems and installing windows was a pain so can anyone try to help me, macrium reflect isn't free anymore either unfortunately.

Transfer OS from 512 to 1tb SSD

I'm in the process of building a new rig. I would like to transfer the OS from my current 512 SSD to a 1tb SSD. My Os is already linked to my MS account and I printed out the steps about using the troubleshooter after a significant hardware change. The Question is: Can I clone the 512 to the 1tb or does it require a clean install? OS is Win 10 Pro.

Windows 10 is very good at resolving drivers on new hardware. You could just clone old drive to new drive and try it.

If it does not work, put new drive in old pc and use sysprep to remove hardware drivers.

Upgraded to from 512 Gb to 2 Tb SSD - Now apps aren't mapping right

Yes, the new SSD drive is installed in the laptop in slot "0". The programs were on the cloned smaller drive; not downloaded from the internet after the drive was cloned. The new SSD drive letter is "C:" I have tried to find them on search, as you suggested and all I get is that error message mentioned before. The forum wouldn't take the screenshots before because of their size. I reduced their size to a manageable file. Again, thanks for all of your assistance. Ray
